What kind of books y’all mess with?
We only edit two types:
- Urban stories and all them wild subgenres (trap lit, hood drama, street game, etc.)
- Regular fiction & nonfiction (biographies, memoirs, life stories, etc.)
But we ain’t touching no academic, legal, medical, or techy-type stuff. That’s not our lane.
Do I get a real editor to vibe with?
Yes and no.
Nah, we don’t assign you no human editor to babysit your book.
But you’ll get a real editorial liaison—someone to help you place your order right, ask questions, and keep the flow tight.
Y’all do developmental edits, line edits, or what?
Nah, we keep it clean and focused.
We only do:
- Copy editing
- Proofreading
That’s it. That’s all. And we do it crazy well.
What y’all actually fix though?
We fix what need fixin’—and leave what makes your style you.
- Spelling (Urban style—15,000+ slang terms coded in. We don’t “correct” your slang, we lock it in the right way.)
- Grammar (We know how the block talk. We ain’t gonna kill your vibe or flip your rhythm.)
- Punctuation, tense, subject-verb agreement, italics
- We keep your formatting and page numbers tight.
Y’all do anything else besides edit?
Naw, that’s all we do over here.
But our sister company,Cadmus Publishing LLC, got everything else—design, formatting, ISBNs, publishing, and more.
How long it take to get my book back?
You choose your flavor:
3-day, 4-day, 5-day, or 7-day turnaround.
We don’t play with delays. You get what you pay for—on time.
I need time to go through it—how long I got?
You got 90 days to check your edits. Spot anything off? Holler at us. We got you.
If I ain’t feelin’ the edit, can I get my money back?
Nope.
That’s why we give you a free 5-page sample edit.
If you ain’t rockin’ with the sample, don’t place a full order.
No surprises, no refunds. Respectfully.
Any hidden fees I should know about?
Zero. Nada. None.We keep itwith our prices. What you see is what it is.
I rewrote some pages—can I send ‘em in to get re-edited?
Yup. But hit up your editor liaisonfirstso we know how to schedule it.
Do I get my edits with Tracked Changes in Word?
Nah. We don’t do Track Changes. We give you the clean final copy—ready to go.
Y’all send feedback letters or notes?
Nah fam, that’s for developmental editing.
We copy edit only—we ain’t here to tell you how to tell your story. That’s all you.
Y’all got a confidentiality policy?
Yes.Your manuscript don’t go nowhere. No leaks, no flexin’, no funny biz. It’s all in the contract.
Do I still own my book after y’all touch it?
Absolutely. 100% yours. We don’t own nothin’. We don’t claim nothin’. We just clean it up.
Y’all send a real contract or just some PayPal receipt?
We give you a real contract before payment.
No signature needed. When you pay, the contract’s active.
